What you'll do
Operate as a systems level engineer to collect production requirements then: plan and execute the build, integration, and validation of flight hardware to those requirements
Design and implement tooling solutions to eliminate assembly error, improve quality, and accelerate build
Automate novel processes to ensure repeatability on a large scale production line
Prove that a subsystem work center meets cycle time requirements, or own the: design change required to meet target cycle time
Become a subject matter expert for the build of a vehicle level system like: aero control surfaces, propellant feed systems, actuation systems, thermal protection systems, secondary structures, avionics, primary structure, etc.
Generate and maintain design for manufacturing requirements for the processes: used to build Starships and Super Heavy Boosters
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- + years of hands-on engineering experience (design teams and previous internships qualify)
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- + year of system level acceptance test exposure
