The opportunity
Ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction, documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Develops and executes replenishment strategies; conducts physical inventories and performs cycle counts.
What you'll do
Perform inventory management tasks including pulling and issuing of: materials, restocking lab areas, transferring materials between the sites and with 3PL’s, quarantining nonconforming inventory, and performing pertinent transactions in ERP.
Ensure the integrity of the inventory by verifying item number, description unit of measure and bin location.
Process and record corresponding transactions accurately and timely in the ERP system.
Work collaboratively with the other team members to drive team success.
Perform weekly and monthly cycle counts for internal and external audit: purposes. Assist in root-causing the count discrepancies.
Contribute to meeting or exceeding the established cycle count accuracy and scrap rate targets
What they're looking for
- Follow Kanban system to replenish inventory in proper quantities to avoid interruption of lab workflow.
- Fulfill emergency material requests.
- Communicate with the planners when items are found low or out of stock.
- Perform physical inventory counts at year ends, which may require to work over the holidays.
