The opportunity
In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art food packaging equipment, and ensure our production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating all facility machinery safely and with maximum efficiency.
What you'll do
Operate and staff all automated packaging and production machinery (including: SidePouch, Sauce Portioners, VibraCone, Likwifier, Urschel, and related equipment).
Assist automated systems with food preparation and portioning into final packaging.
Identify equipment irregularities, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate: major technical problems to maintenance promptly.
Ensure machinery is thoroughly cleaned and maintained according to Standard: Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP).
Accurately complete operational documentation and coordinate transactions: with Quality Assurance and Management.
Provide ongoing coaching, support, and informal training to junior Machine Operators.
What they're looking for
- Minimum of 6 months of machine operation experience at Green Chef, or 1+: years of external machine operator experience.
- Strong communication skills in English
- Demonstrated reliability, good performance standing, and attendance history.
- Willingness to train and mentor team members on equipment operating procedures.
