Manager Body Structures, Closures, HarnessNew
The opportunity
At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market.
What you'll do
Engineering Leadership: Lead the RPE organization across Body Structures, Closures and LV Harness, setting priorities, balancing workload, developing engineers and building capability for current production, launch support and continuous improvement.
Product Issue Resolution: Own engineering triage for production and field concerns, ensuring clear problem definition, risk assessment, containment, root cause investigation, corrective action planning and effectiveness verification.
Plant Escalations: Serve as the engineering escalation point for build, assembly, quality, supplier and manufacturing disruptions, making timely decisions that balance safety, quality, delivery, cost, manufacturability and customer impact.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Supplier Quality, Service, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Program teams to align ownership, timing, resources and closure evidence.
Launch Readiness: Support launch, ramp and Safe Launch activities by ensuring production learnings are incorporated into design standards, validation plans, manufacturing requirements and future program readiness.
Operational Improvement: Improve RPE standard work, escalation forums, issue management systems, reporting cadence and problem-solving discipline to reduce recurrence and increase transparency.
What they're looking for
- Demonstrated experience leading structured problem solving for complex: product issues, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective action development and effectiveness verification.
- Strong working knowledge of vehicle structures, closures and/or low-voltage: electrical distribution systems, with the ability to manage cross-system interfaces in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in escalation management efficiently with competing: priorities between functions in the plant
- Expertise in using failure mode management tools in product & process: development lifecycle (DFMEA/DVP&R/DFM/DFA/PFMEA/Control Plan etc)
