What you'll do
We are looking for a collaborative, accountable engineering leader to grow: and scale the team delivering Affirm’s direct-to-consumer products across international markets.
You will lead and grow a full-stack, Europe-based engineering team building: the Affirm App and Direct-to-Consumer products for Canada, the UK, and future markets — owning the full software lifecycle from strategy to production.
You will set a clear technical roadmap, translating international growth: objectives into executable engineering plans and maintaining clarity on team priorities in a fast-paced, multi-geography environment.
You will hire, develop, and retain engineers at all levels; create meaningful: career growth paths and hold a high bar for technical craft, reliability, and impact at scale.
You will drive cross-functional alignment with product, design, data science,: and business partners across time zones, ensuring the team ships with speed and quality.
You will champion engineering excellence: establishing standards for system reliability, performance, and scalability on products serving millions of consumers globally.
What they're looking for
- You will foster a culture of ownership and curiosity, where a builder’s: mindset, AI-assisted productivity, and rigorous measurement of impact are how the team operates every day.
- You have 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years: leading and growing engineering teams in a product-focused environment.
- You have a demonstrated track record of shipping and scaling consumer-facing: products — ideally in a direct-to-consumer or fintech context.
- You are experienced building high-performing distributed teams, with strong: instincts for developing engineers and creating clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
