What you'll do
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
Run air conditioning cooling load calculations, heat loss calculations following ASHRAE standards
Lead and/or contribute to design of HVAC systems for various facilities: office, hangar, rocket, and customer payload environmental control systems
Design HVAC systems to comply with ANSI/ASHRAE Standards 55, 62.1, 90.1
Implement and execute HVAC system commissioning in compliance with ASHRAE Guideline 0 and Standard 202
Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures,: resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
What they're looking for
- Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other: data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure: conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
- Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical: products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation,: and to make recommendations to maintenance crew
