MRB Mechanical Engineer, FuryActive$152K

The opportunity

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U. S.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate with the manufacturing and engineering teams for all of Mechanical: Subsystems, including: propulsion, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, landing gear, and systems integration

  • Evaluate nonconforming mechanical hardware and components on fielded and: in-production Group 5 air vehicles, and determine engineering dispositions that restore airworthiness and function

  • Generate clear, traceable MRB dispositions: including rework instructions and repair solutions — for mechanical subsystems, actuation, and structural-mechanical interfaces

  • Review and interpret CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups: to assess fit, function, and manufacturability impacts of non-conformances

  • Identify acceptable alternate components for obsolete parts

  • Perform structural and mechanical analysis (stress, deflection, fatigue): using hand calculations and FEA tools to substantiate dispositions and repairs

What they're looking for

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for recurring: non-conformances and production escapes on mechanical hardware
  • Partner daily with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply: Chain to resolve build issues and keep production flowing without compromising safety or performance
  • Build prototypes and test fixtures in the field or on the production floor;: analyze failures and feed learnings back into design
  • Travel to vendor, production, and test sites as needed to support hardware: builds and troubleshoot issues directly
