What you'll do

  • Board level design: Design, develop, and verify highly reliable electronics and customer products

  • RF & Antenna: Design, fabricate, and characterize prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends for next-generation phased arrays, gateways, and consumer wireless products

  • Process – Implement advanced manufacturing processes spanning PCB: fabrication, silicon packaging, solar-cell processing etc., ultimately cementing SpaceX as one of the leading in-house manufacturing entities in the United States

  • Test – Design, develop, and program novel and automated test solutions: capable of testing tens of thousands of units each day

  • Reliability: Spearhead failure analysis and root cause efforts while partnering with design and production teams to ensure that all hardware that leaves our factory is successful and reliable in the real world

  • Controls - Lead creative, multi-disciplinary projects spanning machine: design, robotics, motion systems, and factory health monitoring to form the innovative, high-rate factories that allow us to deliver internet to those that need it most

  • Compliance - Drive product-level compliance for EMC, radio, and wireless: technologies, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met to facilitate global market access, brand protection, and product safety of Starlink
  • Facilities – Ensure the safety and efficiency of our electrical distribution: systems by improving various factory systems site-wide, including substation, switchgear, power distribution, lighting, UPS, Motor Control Centers, VFDs, and generators
  • Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis,: schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping of complex electrical designs
  • Drive hardware bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test of complex electronics
