What you'll do
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of complex integrations and technical solutions: across Workday and connected internal or external systems, from design and build through to production support.
Design, build, test and maintain solutions using appropriate engineering: tools and patterns, including Workday Studio, EIBs, APIs, middleware, orchestration, scripting or low-code capabilities where applicable.
Build and improve workflow automation, intelligent integrations and: AI-enabled solutions that reduce manual effort, improve employee technology experiences or increase the effectiveness of People Technology operations.
Use AI-assisted engineering practices responsibly to improve development: speed, testing, troubleshooting, documentation and solution quality, while respecting security, privacy and governance requirements.
Act as a senior escalation point for complex integration and engineering: incidents, analysing logs, payloads, timing, data mappings and system behaviour to identify root causes and implement durable fixes.
Ensure solutions meet requirements for data accuracy, security, performance,: resilience and maintainability, including during cyclical or high-risk activity such as payroll, benefits processing or major organisational changes.

- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of engineering: standards, integration patterns, reusable components, runbooks and testing approaches.
- Partner closely with Functional, Product and Operations colleagues to clarify: requirements, evaluate technical options, understand dependencies and translate business needs into practical engineering solutions.
- Explore and adopt relevant capabilities across the Workday ecosystem,: including Workday Orchestrate, Extend / Build and future platform innovations, alongside appropriate external enterprise technologies.
- Maintain high-quality technical documentation and apply sound software: engineering practices across solution design, testing, version control, deployment and support.
