The opportunity
Stripe’s Product Legal team is responsible for managing the legal and regulatory elements of the design, build and execution of our products and services. We work on some of the hardest technical, commercial, and regulatory problems around, and we’re looking for a product lawyer to join our team.
What you'll do
Counsel Stripe product and engineering teams on a range of issues relating to: Stripe's software solutions, including Stripe Revenue Suite, Stripe Profiles, and Stripe Atlas.
Closely collaborate with teams across Stripe (including, engineering,: partnerships, privacy and security teams) to deliver pragmatic and actionable legal advice to your clients on a range of issues related to the product development lifecycle - from initial scoping to launch
Draft, review, and update internal and external-facing foundational terms and: documents for Stripe’s products and service offerings
Stay up-to-date (with the support of Stripe’s many legal subject matter: experts) on laws and regulations dealing with consumer financial data access; analyze laws, regulatory updates, industry trends to proactively advise clients of potential product impacts
Participate as a proactive business partner to your product team and build a: trusted advisor relationship offering key legal and strategic business input in evolving Stripe and its product roadmap and strategy
+ years of demonstrated experience either as a qualified lawyer in a top law: firm or in-house legal team working with technology companies (ideally the law that applies to cloud-based API service providers) on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology space
