What you'll do
Lead a project team of engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout the: engineering, procurement, and construction process
Manage the design, development, and issuance of drawings, documentation, and: reports for manufacturing line projects
Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors: across multiple disciplines from conceptual design through close out and activation
Accountable for accurate budgeting and cost forecasting
Work as part of a team to develop and manage production strategies to: mitigate future production risks and seize emerging opportunities to improve quality, output, safety, and cost
Define new business processes and systems for high volume production,: including manufacturing execution, inventory management, nonconformance resolution, configuration management, material traceability, process control, and maintenance
What they're looking for
- Coordinate and schedule work with internal SpaceX teams and external general/sub-contractors
- Assist production/engineering leadership team to identify trends,: opportunities, and best practices for optimizing product output, quality enhancements, and cost of manufacturability by spending time on the production floor
- Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or other engineering discipline
- + years of experience in production engineering, manufacturing, or industrial project management
