- Strong QA-first mindset with an software engineering orientation (roughly 70%: QA / 30% engineering) — able to set standards and also build/ship the systems that enforce them.
- Outcome ownership: focuses on measurable product quality improvements (risk reduction, fewer escapes, higher confidence) rather than “tools” or checklist-driven QA work; strong judgment for where risk is building and how to catch it early.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD and how automated test suites run, fail, and gate releases in practice.
- Comfortable with our QA automation stack and eager to learn/level it up; able: to evaluate alternatives and propose pragmatic improvements.
