What you'll do
Own component qualification for new parts and new sources across electrical: and mechanical commodities, including semiconductors, RF components, passives, connectors, PCB/PCBA, switches, fasteners and hardware, seals, adhesives and other materials.
Define and execute qualification plans necessary to ensure compatibility and: compliance for production and deployed EW systems.
Proactively identify critical single-source components across active EW: designs and drive second-source qualification before it becomes urgent, owning the technical trade, the test plan, and the qualification process.
Perform form-fit-function analysis on candidate alternates and present: findings to change control board for approval and implementation.
Embed with EW design engineers from architecture through NPI, influencing: component selection while designs are still open, and reviewing schematics and BOMs for parts that carry avoidable supply or reliability risk.
Serve as the standing component resource for the design team, driving: component commonality and reuse across EW programs and product configurations, reducing the number of unique parts engineering has to sustain.
