What you'll do
Own backend services powering Coinbase Advisor and Strategies, from technical: design through launch and ongoing operation
Build integrations with Coinbase's trading APIs so agent recommendations and: user-configured strategies translate into correct, auditable execution
Develop our agentic harness, including tool calling, orchestration,: persistent state, and recovery from failed or partially completed actions
Shape agent behavior through prompt engineering, evals, and conversation: analysis, partnering with our registered investment adviser on changes to financial advice
Improve service reliability, latency, observability, and execution safety,: including retry behavior and safeguards against duplicate actions
Partner with frontend engineering, product, design, trading infrastructure,: and legal/compliance to ship customer-facing capabilities within regulatory guardrails
What they're looking for
- + years of professional software engineering experience, with deep backend: expertise and a track record of shipping and operating production services
- Strong experience with API design, distributed systems, data modeling,: testing, and debugging production failures
- Proficiency in Go or demonstrated ability to learn it quickly
- Experience building production LLM or agentic systems, including tool calling, orchestration, or evaluation
