The opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with Networking expertise to join our Infrastructure team, where you will work with hardware and networking across our data centers, offices, and the cloud to build and maintain critical financial systems.
What you'll do
Manage our networking and server hardware, topology, and connectivity in our physical data centers and cloud
Design and build network telemetry, monitoring, and observability
Build and maintain an automated change management pipeline to deploy network: configuration revisions and provision hardware
Ensure critical services operate reliably by triaging and fixing operational: issues as an on-call engineer, participating in post-mortems and implementing improvements to prevent future issues
Make and collaborate on key decisions regarding the evolution of our: infrastructure, such as our hybrid cloud architecture
Be responsible for liaising with third parties, vendors and internet service: providers as well as traveling to our Bay Area and New Jersey data centers and offices for onsite networking projects
What they're looking for
- Proficiency with automation technology including Terraform, Ansible, and Chef
- Proficiency with at least one language such as Go, Python, or Ruby and: configuration management tools such as Git
- Demonstrated experience with Linux systems
- Experience with automating production data center environments, including: hardware provisioning, network device configuration, and capacity planning
