What you'll do
Build and evolve the core platforms behind every visibility product: event ingestion, milestone computation, webhook and notification delivery, scheduled work, and shared APIs used across all modal teams.
Design event-driven systems that process high-throughput carrier data reliably and with low latency.
Own reliability, performance, and scalability of the platforms your team operates.
Building systems in a multi-cloud environment. We use AWS and GCP but value: experience in other cloud environments such as Azure.
Partner with modal engineering teams across Ground (FTL, LTL, Parcel, Rail),: Ocean, Air, and Orders to expose platform capabilities they can build on.
Share ownership of all facets of software delivery, including development, operations,and test.
What they're looking for
- You will assume on-call responsibilities for systems (together with the team): that are built and owned by your team.
- You will invest in tools, monitoring, and automation to improve on-call experience for everyone on your team.
- + years professional experience building large scale and real time or near real time cloud systems.
- Strong programming and debugging skills, with proficiency in Java Backend.
