The opportunity
Anduril's Reliability & System Safety Engineering organization is hiring Senior System Safety Engineers across our product portfolio. Domains may include Air Dominance & Strike, Maritime, Ground Systems, Space, Counter-UAS, and Autonomy/Lattice.
What you'll do
Develop and implement tailored System Safety program plans aligned with: MIL-STD-882E and the needs of Anduril and its customers
Conduct and review complex safety analyses including FHA, Fault Tree, SCFTA,: FMECA, and System Safety Assessments at the system and sub-system level
Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams to implement: safety solutions across multi-system architectures
Identify and document hazards and risks for your program(s), manage hazard: tracking databases, and ensure proper risk mitigation strategies are in place
Support the Design Requirements Process as a Subject Matter Expert to ensure: teams adhere to Safety best practices
Support Development Milestone Reviews (PDR, CDR, QDR) representing System Safety
What they're looking for
- M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems: Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
- Experience or familiarity with ARP-4754, ARP-4761, MIL-STD-516C, and JSSSEH
- Experience with Relyence, Teamcenter, JIRA, JAMA, Cameo, and/or Ansys
- Software safety case development experience
- AI/ML software safety experience
- Experience with risk management, change control/change management reviews, and software/firmware HITL/SITL
- Front-end software architecture and requirements definition experience
- Experience drafting requirements for Software & Hardware
