What you'll do
Lead cross-functional safety analyses as subject matter expert to identify: hazards, assess risks, define requirements, drive mitigation and verification strategies, and inform decisions.
Participate in operations design and readiness reviews and present safety risk to ELT
Evaluate the continued effectiveness of implemented mitigations to ensure: risk profile have not changed; if safety risk has changed supports the identification of new hazards & mitigations
Solve challenging and ambiguous problems with long time horizons, helping: teammates navigate "uncharted territory" in safety engineering.
Articulate and influence new safety approaches to stakeholders across: Product, Legal, Systems Engineering, and Operations
Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechatronics/Aerospace Engineering,: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields
What they're looking for
- Strong technical project management skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel projects
- + years of relevant engineering work experience that includes minimum 7 years of System Safety engineering
- Proficient in selecting and performing appropriate inductive/deductive safety: analyses in order to efficiently identify hazards and their level of risk
- Proficient in applying Systems Engineering principles including defining: SMART safety mitigations/requirements and collaborating on effective verification and validation methods
