What you'll do

  • Lead cross-functional safety analyses as subject matter expert to identify: hazards, assess risks, define requirements, drive mitigation and verification strategies, and inform decisions.

  • Participate in operations design and readiness reviews and present safety risk to ELT

  • Evaluate the continued effectiveness of implemented mitigations to ensure: risk profile have not changed; if safety risk has changed supports the identification of new hazards & mitigations

  • Solve challenging and ambiguous problems with long time horizons, helping: teammates navigate "uncharted territory" in safety engineering.

  • Articulate and influence new safety approaches to stakeholders across: Product, Legal, Systems Engineering, and Operations

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechatronics/Aerospace Engineering,: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields

What they're looking for

  • Strong technical project management skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel projects
  • + years of relevant engineering work experience that includes minimum 7 years of System Safety engineering
  • Proficient in selecting and performing appropriate inductive/deductive safety: analyses in order to efficiently identify hazards and their level of risk
  • Proficient in applying Systems Engineering principles including defining: SMART safety mitigations/requirements and collaborating on effective verification and validation methods
