What you'll do
Own the systems engineering for novel rider facing features including but not: limited to early pullovers, rider pick up, and rider drop off
Work with cross functional teams including software engineers, product: managers, safety engineers, and operations leads to develop requirements and system architecture for new features that support critical user journeys
Take ownership of the solution, considering applicability to long term goals,: and appropriately use engineering judgement and experience to inform paths forward
Collaborate closely with software engineers on design documents and support: implementation with developmental testing
Partner with our test engineering team to develop rigorous and scalable: recurring testing to prevent regressions
Create dashboards and monitoring to validate in field performance and be the: point person to debug field issues when they occur, owning comprehensive cross functional retrospectives as needed
What they're looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or other technical field
- + years of experience in systems engineering, software development, or related field
- A systems engineering mindset and a proactive, data-driven approach to fixing problems
- An ability to read C++ to understand feature implementation and debug issues: more effectively and an ability to write code for querying data sets (SQL) and creating dashboards
