The opportunity
Thanks for your interest in Oklo! We are searching for a Southeastern Idaho Environmental Specialist to join our engineering team.
What you'll do
Manage regular meetings with partners such as Batelle Energy Alliance (BEA): and the Department of Energy Idaho (DOE-ID)
Work with Oklo subject matter experts to track documentation related to: environmental authorizations, approvals, and permits for projects in Southeast Idaho
Conduct environmental field inspections and compliance assessments at active project and construction sites
Interpret environmental requirements and support implementation of: environmental compliance programs, permits, and site environmental procedures
Monitor internal Oklo teams and contractor compliance with environmental: requirements and best management practices (BMPs)
Assist with stormwater, erosion and sediment control, dust control, spill: prevention, and waste management oversight
What they're looking for
- Coordinate environmental monitoring activities including water, air, soil, and waste tracking as needed
- Support preparation and maintenance of environmental reports, inspection: logs, permit documentation, and corrective actions
- Identify environmental compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with spill response activities, investigations, and follow-up actions
