The opportunity
As a Sr. Finance Business Partner for Cost of Goods and Packaging, you will be a core member of the BNL & Nordics Finance Team, reporting directly to the Associate Director of FP&A for Nordics & Benelux.
What you'll do
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead COGs and packaging budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close for BNL and Nordics, incorporating inflation, menu mix dynamics, and specification changes.
Variance Analysis & Cost Bridges: Conduct variance analysis and build cost bridges against budget and prior year—decomposing drivers like price inflation, volume, menu mix, waste, and yield loss for executive stakeholders.
Business Partnering: Serve as the primary finance partner to Procurement, Menu Planning, and DC Operations to track supplier pricing, contract renewals, sustainability impacts, and operational performance.
Automated Reporting Suite: Own and continuously improve the regional COGs reporting suite, including theoretical consumption models, cost-per-box assumptions, and DC-level cost tracking.
Data Tooling & Technical Automation: Leverage SQL and Databricks to automate COGs data pipelines and eliminate manual reporting overhead.
Theoretical vs. Actual Benchmarking: Monitor theoretical vs. delivered COGs performance to identify, explain, and mitigate gaps driven by operational waste, yield loss, and menu composition.
What they're looking for
- Cross-Functional & Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with central FP&A and broader finance teams on strategic projects, cross-functional efficiency drives, and continuous model improvement.
- At least five years of experience in FP&A or commercial finance, with a: demonstrable focus on COGs, procurement finance, supply chain, or manufacturing cost management.
- Strong understanding of food or FMCG cost structures: ideally including ingredient pricing, packaging, and DC operational costs.
- Hands-on, analytical, and intellectually curious: with the confidence to interrogate cost data, challenge numbers, and validate outputs.
