What you'll do

  • Work on the architecture, design, and technical strategy for complex: microservices systems, establishing patterns and best practices across multiple teams.

  • Drive technical decision-making and architectural reviews, ensuring: scalability, reliability, and maintainability of Plans domain. Your responsibilities will include conducting analysis, documenting detailed specifications, and ensuring that all defined requirements are traceable, verifiable, and align with the overall strategic goals and technical architecture.

  • Lead critical technical initiatives and cross-team projects, collaborating: with technical leadership and cross-functional partners to align technical strategy with business objectives.

  • Drive the adoption of AI-powered tools and methodologies within the team to: significantly accelerate development cycles and enhance output quality and efficiency. Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of precision, operational excellence thinking, and high-quality engineering in a high-paced environment.

  • Take the technical lead on backend-heavy product problems, designing,: building and operating the services and systems needed to deliver them reliably at scale.

  • Work beyond your specialization when the problem demands it. Your: specialization is your anchor, not your boundary.

What they're looking for

  • Operate what you build. You instrument, monitor, and improve your systems in: production. Shipping is the beginning of the learning cycle, not the end.
  • Hands-on experience working with AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor,: Copilot) beyond casual experimentation. You use AI agents every day. You have a practical sense of how the context you provide to AI tools shapes output quality, and how to set boundaries on AI-generated work.
  • + years of backend engineering experience with deep expertise in: microservices and distributed event-driven architectural patterns
  • Expert-level proficiency in Go or JVM languages
