What you'll do
Lead a team responsible for performing inspections, testing, maintenance and: repair of campus wide systems; including fire suppression systems (wet/dry sprinkler systems), backflow preventers, electrical panels as well as other preventative maintenance and repair programs covered by facilities operations
Lead and direct a team of building structures, plumbing, compressed air, and electrical facility technicians
Schedule daily work and prioritize assignments
Develop, plan and execute site improvement projects in accordance with: overall business objectives and strategy
Know and understand all safety procedures of SpaceX in order to observe the: work of contractors and bring safety concerns to their attention as needed. Report all unsafe acts and conditions which remain uncorrected to supervisor. Allow no work to be performed when conditions are considered unsafe
Maintain appropriate records for all trades as required
What they're looking for
- Know and understand electrical equipment such as: motor control centers, transformers, switchboards, controllers, electrical feeders, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
- Communicate with Manager on daily activities, projects, team moral and concerning issues
- Manage vendor/contractor finances. Work with SpaceX buyers and AP to assure accounts are maintained
- Oversee team of facilities techs, driving overall performance and: effectiveness through individual coaching and development
