What you'll do

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support for workstation, hardware, application,: authentication, and connectivity issues.

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and Linux workstations and associated peripherals.

  • Perform basic systems administration using established procedures and approved configuration baselines.

  • Troubleshoot common network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and physical connections.

  • Install and support approved business and engineering applications.

  • Diagnose hardware, software, network, and authentication issues and escalate: complex problems when appropriate.

What they're looking for

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant technical certifications.
  • Exposure to Active Directory or similar centralized identity-management technologies.
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience supporting engineering or specialized technical applications such: as MATLAB, Sentris, or similar tools.
  • Previous experience in a DoD, government, classified, or other regulated computing environment.
