What you'll do

  • Own department-level Jira intake, triage, workflow governance, and priority: routing for Technical Publications work.

  • Decide how work is sequenced and staffed when program priorities compete.

  • Own the department’s view of workload, throughput, blockers, delivery risk,: and capacity across the work portfolio.

  • Reallocate writers against changing program demand and escalate only the: conflicts that genuinely require leadership decision.

  • Build and maintain the reporting and operating metrics that leadership uses: to assess department performance and staffing needs.

  • Run recurring execution reviews, planning sessions, and follow-up to completion.

What they're looking for

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, manufacturing, or another complex technical environment.
  • Experience supporting technical publications, sustainment, training, ILS, or: another documentation-heavy delivery function.
  • Familiarity with formal deliverables such as CDRLs, DMRLs, technical manuals,: or similar customer-committed outputs.
  • Experience building operating metrics, dashboards, or staffing views for department leadership
