Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills, including: performance, memory, I/O, configuration, security, networking, clustering, and storage management
What they're looking for
- Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex mission-critical production: systems, including database-backed or enterprise applications
- Strong diagnostic ability, including analyzing issues holistically from the: application tier through the database and down to storage and infrastructure
- Broad awareness of workload patterns and customer requirements related to: performance, availability, and scalability
