What you'll do
Design, build and maintain high performing, flexible, and scalable Android: solutions running on Toast POS hardware in thousands of restaurants
Ship features end-to-end, from design through rollout, monitoring for success: and iterating based on real-world use
Build great UX using best practices of modern Android development
Be an awesome teammate who's all in on collaboration and collective success
Create products and features that help restaurants deliver a best-in-class guest experience
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders, and: actively participate in Agile ceremonies
What they're looking for
- Partner with team members and other engineers across the company to raise the: bar for the Android experience at Toast
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience with Android development in Kotlin and/or: Java, with hands-on experience shipping production Android apps
- Hands on experience of modern Android tooling and frameworks is a minimum requirement
- Excited about AI-assisted development and LLM-based agents (Claude Code or: similar), and interested in pioneering new workflows with the team
