The Automation Engineer brings technical experience in implementing and improving Automated Material Handling Systems and Technology within the fulfillment network. This role works closely with functional stakeholders, vendors, and other engineers to solve problems and reduce fulfillment costs.

What you'll do

• Interface with external vendors and system integrators to design automated: order fulfillment solutions. Work with top industry technology such as AMRs, Robotics, ASRS, sortation systems, etc.

• Take the lead on designing distribution facilities, including new facilities,: facility retrofits, conveyor changes, and other material handling equipment (MHE) changes.

• Identify, define and implement process improvement opportunities.

• Work with cross-functional team members to ensure their business needs are met by new system designs.

• Become a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all engineering processes: and technology within the fulfillment network.

• Optimize Distribution Center layouts, material flows, Automation equipment, etc.
