What you'll do

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote-friendly: environment and can pivot as business goals evolve.

  • A deep understanding of the unique legal and regulatory hurdles associated: with U.S. regulated industries, specifically:

  • Identify problems and design effective, scalable solutions that help the business move faster.

  • Thrive in a hybrid team setting, building strong relationships with internal: partners to achieve strategic goals.

  • Hands-on experience with or a strong understanding of AI platforms and tools: to optimize internal legal workflows and.

  • Provide end-to-end legal support for Okta’s Public Sector teams, focusing on Regulated Products and Services.

What they're looking for

  • Act as the subject matter expert on emerging cloud service policies,: educating internal teams on shifting regulations.
  • Partner with cross-functional legal counsel to ensure our products meet: rigorous U.S. and international regulatory standards.
  • Embed with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Security teams to navigate,: compliance frameworks and authorizations processes (e.g., FedRAMP) from conception to launch.
  • Experience: 5–7+ years of legal practice, with at least 2+ years of direct: experience counseling cloud/SaaS providers on U.S. Federal Government compliance, including FAR, DFARS, and FedRAMP authorizations.
