Stripe’s Local Payment Methods (LPM) business is one of our fastest-growing payments businesses.
What you'll do
Set the vision and roadmap for platform capabilities that help LPM teams: build, integrate, and operate payment methods at scale.
Lead engineers in designing and delivering reliable, self-service foundations: that simplify complex integrations and speed up launches.
Build an AI-first engineering organization: develop the platform hooks and working practices that enable agentic development and help teams use AI to improve execution and product-engineering decisions.
Partner closely with customers, engineering, product, partnerships, legal,: operations, and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliver end-to-end outcomes.
Drive clear technical and architectural decisions with staff engineers,: balancing reliability, extensibility, velocity, and regional payments complexity.
Lead and improve the team’s operating processes so it can execute effectively: and engage well with the rest of Stripe.
What they're looking for
- At least 5 years of experience managing teams that shipped high-quality products.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating with a high degree of: autonomy and responsibility in an ambiguous environment.
- A track record of recruiting, developing, and building great engineering teams.
- The ability to work effectively across functions, think rigorously,: communicate clearly, and make or coordinate hard decisions and trade-offs.
- Technical acumen to partner with staff engineers on architecture and technical strategy.
- Experience creating a healthy and inclusive work environment that is both challenging and supportive.
- Experience building platforms, developer products, or large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience applying AI to software development, engineering workflows, or: product delivery, with strong judgment about where it creates durable value.
