Engineering Manager, Operations Technology (All Genders)New

The opportunity

The Logistics Tribe builds the systems powering end-to-end delivery across North America, Europe and Australia/New Zealand: getting fresh ingredients into our facilities, giving customers the best delivery options the network can support, and tracking every box to the customer's…

What you'll do

  • Lead and grow a team of mid-to-senior engineers: set clear expectations, give regular and honest feedback, and own their development - including building the case when someone is ready for the next level.

  • Own the people and stay technical. This role carries real hands-on: expectations - you still deliver code yourself, not management at a distance.

  • Keep raising the team's AI bar: role-model it in your own work, and push the workflows where AI genuinely changes how fast we deliver.

  • Make our project-based way of working work for people. You lead project: staffing with the Director of Engineering and the product managers, putting engineers where the work and their growth both fit. You limit how many projects anyone carries, and you keep handovers clean so nobody becomes a single point of failure.

  • Own the delivery health of your team's work together with the product: managers and the engineers leading each project: realistic plans, sound quality, and systems that stay reliable once shipped.

  • Hire and onboard well: you'll be building the team's balance of skills as projects and domains shift under you.

What they're looking for

  • Champion the engineering practices we care about: behaviour-driven tests for every business use case, and small iterations.
  • Help shape tribe culture as part of the leadership team, in a setup that is: deliberately flat and collaborative.
  • At least 2 years leading mid-to-senior engineers in an agile environment,: backed by 6+ years of total engineering experience - you've run development and growth conversations and seen people through to promotion.
  • Comfort leading people through changing project boundaries: this is a team that reforms around projects, not one that sits still.
