The opportunity

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with department leadership, engineering teams, and facility: managers to complete job hazard assessments and implement robust health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Monitor employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards and develop: recommendations for remedial actions when safety standards are not met.

  • Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations established: by the EPA, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, and other environmental and transportation agencies.

  • Work closely with AI hardware engineers, construction teams, and operations: technicians to perform detailed safety reviews of complex operations involving high-power systems, cooling infrastructure, and hazardous materials to ensure safe execution.

  • Lead or assist in all aspects of incident investigations, including initial: response, root cause analysis, corrective action development, and closure.

What they're looking for

  • Implement and develop safety and health programs, including but not limited: to: OSHA general industry and construction standards
  • HAZCOM, hazmat handling, cryogenics, high-pressure and high-voltage systems
  • Confined space, fall protection, lock-out/tag-out, and electrical safety
  • Develop practical safety solutions to resolve EHS hazards/concerns within: cost and schedule constraints, following the safety hierarchy of controls (elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, PPE) to keep risks to personnel, property, and the environment within acceptable boundaries.
