What you'll do

  • Design, validate, and implement measurement methods, inspection programs, and: gages for parts, assemblies, and processes.

  • Interpret and apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5); develop inspection plans that reflect: critical characteristics and design intent.

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and measurement system analysis (MSA: / Gage R&R) to confirm capability and measurement confidence.

  • Integrate metrology early with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to: reduce risk and verify processes before they scale.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to Metrology Technicians and: Specialists on programming, methods, fixturing, and difficult measurements.

  • Troubleshoot systemic measurement issues: determining why inspections fail or give inconsistent results — and design solutions to prevent recurrence.

What they're looking for

  • Support root cause investigations (RCCA), MRB, and incident management on metrology-related quality issues.
  • Design and specify inspection gages, including Go/No-Go gages and automated: inspection systems (vision, scans, etc.).
  • Analyze measurement data using statistical methods and data-visualization: tools, and report findings clearly to engineering and program stakeholders.
  • Help ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO/IEC 17025): and contribute to calibration and gage management practices.
