The opportunity
At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
What you'll do
Shift Pattern This role supports 24/7 AV depot operations and requires: availability to work day shifts, with hours scheduled between 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM, with alternating weekends with rotating weekdays off.
Specific shift times and schedules will be determined based on operational needs and business requirements.
Schedules will include weekends and holidays based on depot operational requirements.
Technical Team Management Partnership Oversight & Accountability: Serve as: the day-to-day point of accountability for our onsite repair partner, holding their technicians to agreed quality, turnaround, and certification standards across all shifts, and escalating gaps through the right channels before they affect fleet availability.
Workflow Distribution: Manage and optimize repair workflows across technician teams, balancing workload, prioritizing critical repairs, and ensuring SLA compliance for all maintenance activities.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with the internal teams that own our third-party relationships and offsite collision repairs, acting as the site-level point of contact so vehicles route correctly, status stays visible, and repair timelines hold. You'll surface issues from the floor to those teams and carry their requirements back to the site so both sides stay aligned.
What they're looking for
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, skills assessments, and development planning for technical staff, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Team Development & Coaching Onboarding & Job Task Training: Get new repair: coordinators up to speed on their core responsibilities — work order management, vehicle intake and staging, documentation, and the systems they'll live in day to day — so they're contributing confidently and correctly.
- Depot Operations Fluency: Teach the team how the depot actually runs: how work flows from intake through repair and release, how their role connects to the technicians and the internal teams upstream and downstream, and what good looks like at each handoff.
- Ongoing Coaching & Mentorship: Provide regular, direct feedback through side-by-sides, one-on-ones, and in-the-moment coaching. Identify where each coordinator wants to grow, build a path for them, and address performance gaps early and honestly.
