What you'll do
Lead, coach, and grow engineers; support their development and career progression.
Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and senior leaders to set a clear: quarterly roadmap and deliver it iteratively.
Guide technical decisions and promote high-quality code, sound engineering: practices, and reliable distributed systems.
Stay close to the work through design and code reviews, incident leadership,: on-call participation, and troubleshooting when needed.
Own processes that improve engineering quality and help the team meet its service-level commitments.
Partner with recruiting to attract and hire strong engineers.
What they're looking for
- + years of software engineering experience, ideally in data platform or: infrastructure, including 2+ years in engineering management.
- Experience building, delivering, and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Strong engineering judgment and the ability to foster quality,: maintainability, and effective development practices.
- An execution-focused approach: able to work through ambiguity, balance near-term delivery with long-term planning, and turn complex goals into actionable work.
