What you'll do
Partner directly with Figma's Product, Design, Engineering, and other: cross-functional teams to provide practical legal guidance on product development and go-to-market strategy
Review product user experiences, disclosures, and external marketing and: communications materials to mitigate legal risk while helping our teams achieve their goals
Partner with cross-functional Legal teams (Commercial, IP, Regulatory) to ensure cohesive strategy and support
Advise on legal issues relating to data protection, privacy, consumer: protection, IP, and evolving AI-specific laws and regulations
Develop and build out the processes, resources, and scaffolding needed to: help our team scale our legal guidance as our product releases accelerate
Identify and communicate emerging legal risks early in the product: development cycle to enable faster, more confident decision-making
What they're looking for
- In-depth experience counseling on legal issues relating to technology, IP,: privacy, data protection, consumer protection, and AI
- Proven ownership mentality, including hands-on engagement with product: details, process-building from scratch, and independent prioritization
- A business-first, solution-oriented approach, including comfort making: independent decisions and taking smart risks with imperfect information
- Demonstrated interest in AI and experience advising on AI-powered products or platforms
