What you'll do
Design and implement intuitive user interface components that enhance user: commitment, using TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Integrate front-end elements seamlessly with back-end services to ensure a smooth user experience. Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to drive continuous improvements.
Own complex, loosely-defined problems end-to-end: shape the approach, split the work if needed, make the key technical decisions, and deliver.
Lead discussions on architecture and system design. During these discussions,: consider trade-offs. Also, think about backwards compatibility, performance, and scale.
Establish coding standards and ensure the team adheres to them throughout the: development process. Promote reusable components to improve efficiency and implement automated testing and deployment to maintain code quality. Evaluate new technologies for potential integration and document best practices to facilitate team-wide knowledge sharing.
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and: best practices. Offer constructive feedback and identify potential security vulnerabilities in the codebase. Focus on maintaining code readability and facilitate discussions with team members to address any findings from the code review.
Collaborate async across timezones with a fully-distributed team, working in the open on GitHub and in Slack.
What they're looking for
- Partner closely with designers and product managers to apprehend user: experience goals and translate their mockups into functional UI components. Ensure a consistent visual design across all UI elements. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for enhancing the user interface.
- Solid production experience with full-stack JavaScript, preferably TypeScript: ; React on the front end and Node.js on the back end. Some experience with Reactflow is a plus.
- A track record of leading non-trivial projects end-to-end, with real design ownership and minimal guidance.
- Proficient architecture and system-design judgment, including in large, existing codebases.
