What you'll do
Own the design, development, and operation of backend services powering the: Coinbase One membership lifecycle, including sign-up flows, subscription management, and recurring payment processing
Build scalable platform capabilities that enable targeted benefit delivery,: promotional incentives, and personalized membership experiences across the Coinbase retail application
Partner with frontend, product, design, and payments teams to scope, ship,: and iterate on customer-facing membership features from concept through production
Drive backend architecture decisions for the Coinbase One product area,: establishing patterns for reliability, extensibility, and integration with broader Coinbase platform services
Improve service reliability, observability, and performance across Coinbase: One's backend stack, proactively identifying and resolving production issues
+ years of professional backend software engineering experience with a track: record of shipping and operating production services at scale
What they're looking for
- Demonstrated experience building subscription, payments, or commerce systems,: including recurring billing, entitlements, or promotional logic
- Proficiency in Go or a similar backend systems language (Java, C++, Rust): with demonstrated ability to adapt to a Go-centric codebase
- Proven ability to design and maintain APIs and distributed systems that: integrate across multiple product surfaces (web and mobile)
- Track record of taking ambiguous projects from scoping through production: with minimal oversight, including cross-functional collaboration with product and design partners
