What you'll do
Design and implement measures to increase the efficiency and decrease the cost of Fleet Response operations
Partner with other teams at Waymo to find headroom in their shares of operational workload
Generate and research ideas for new optimizations of the work operators perform
Work with onboard engineering teams to sunset operational work that is no longer necessary
Contribute to cross-functional analysis and optimization efforts
Improve regression-detection and culprit-finding for changes that negatively impact operational metrics
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
- + years of industry experience navigating complex systems with distributed ownership
- Experience with C++ or related structured programming language
- A curious, investigative mindset with a bias towards action
