What you'll do

  • Build Discord’s creator strategy from the bottom up, starting with direct: conversations and a clear understanding of what creators already on Discord need from us.

  • Bring together the creator work that exists across Discord today, establish: clear ownership, and turn a collection of early efforts into a coherent program.

  • Define who we mean by creators and develop an initial approach for selecting: and serving a trusted group across games, platforms, formats, and communities.

  • Create more than one program for creators, beginning with the fundamentals:: accelerated support, clear paths for escalation, and reliable channels for two-way communication.

  • Manage relationships with important creators directly. Understand how they: use Discord, help them solve meaningful problems, and build trust by following through.

  • Build a creator council or network that gives us a consistent view of what: creators are seeing, where Discord is falling short, and what would make the platform more useful to them and their communities.

What they're looking for

  • Build systems and playbooks that let a selected program grow over time: without losing the relationships and responsiveness that made it valuable.
  • A strong passion for Discord and/or gaming, and an appreciation for the creators and communities we serve.
  • + years in creator partnerships, community, platform programs, marketing,: product partnerships, or a related field.
  • Deeply familiar with how creators build audiences, operate their businesses,: and manage communities across platforms like YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Patreon, Reddit, and Discord.
