The opportunity

Cloudflare operates a large global network spanning hundreds of cities (data centers). You will join a team of talented network automation engineers who are building software solutions to improve network resilience and reduce engineering operational toil.

What you'll do

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • + years of SRE, DevOps or Software Engineering experience.

  • Distributed Systems & Infrastructure: deep understanding of modern Linux internals, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Experience with IaC tools and CI/CD pipeline automation.

  • Proficient in programming languages like Python or Golang.

  • Observability & Telemetry: hands on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing and metrics- driven alerting.

What they're looking for

  • Systems Design: proven track record of designing reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working alongside AI assistants or automated tools to: augment task execution and project delivery
  • Knowledge of Networking engineering, with competencies in Layer 2 and Layer 3: protocols and network APIs (gRPC/gNMI, NETCONF).
  • Experience working with configuration management frameworks: Ansible, Chef, Saltstack.
