The opportunity
Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 by JB Straubel, co-founder and former CTO of Tesla, on a simple but radical idea: the critical minerals powering the energy transition already exist. They just need to come back.
What you'll do
Partner with process and manufacturing engineering during production line: design, ramp, and changes to eliminate hazards at the design stage (Design for EHS) before equipment is released to production.
Provide EHS support to Redwood's R&D power electronics development team,: including lab and prototype safety reviews, electrical safety practices, and hazard assessments for engineering builds.
Support field service and maintenance teams with EHS guidance for on-site and: field work, including lockout/tag-out, work on energized equipment, and site-specific hazard controls.
Maintain the EHS training matrix and learning management system records tied: to Pack Manager assembly, R&D power electronics, and field service roles so required training and certifications remain audit-ready, and report completion and certification metrics to leadership.
Support audits and regulatory inspections related to Energy Services: processes, and revise EHS content as equipment, standards, and floor feedback require.
Develop and deliver relevant training to Energy Services team members: including, LOTO, Electrical Safety, forklift operations, etc.
