The opportunity

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain production services and infrastructure supporting: key management, encryption, and decryption functions.

  • Help architect, launch, and scale Robinhood’s new in-house card-processing: environment to protect sensitive card, financial, and tax-related data.

  • Write clean, maintainable production code and build operational tooling: across software, infrastructure, and security controls.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to support migrations, drive: adoption of shared cryptographic capabilities, and ensure safe system design.

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to maintain high availability,: security, and operational reliability as processing volume grows.

  • Experience building, operating, or supporting production services, distributed systems, or infrastructure.

What they're looking for

  • Proficiency writing production code in at least one modern programming: language (such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or C++) with a strong ability to reason about complex systems.
  • Comfort working across multiple technical domains, including software: development, infrastructure, and operational reliability.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to: explain technical decisions and proactively collaborate when facing challenges.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn security engineering principles and: participate in a light on-call rotation.
