What you'll do
First, you will support the growth and maturation of a business operations: and revenue strategy function within the OpenAI for Government. You will help OpenAI for Government four vertical leaders develop annual business strategies that define target customers, priority projects, partners, and support needed from other matrixed teams including Technical Success, Engineering, Capture and Proposal, Global Affairs, and Product Policy.
You will build and maintain the intelligence picture for our key territories:: mission priorities, budget lines and program timelines, incumbents and competitive positions, and the people who actually shape awards.
You will act as a thought partner to the business verticals by participating: in weekly team discussions to understand the business, test assumptions, and identify risks. You will run quarterly reviews to track progress, reassess goals, and adjust priorities.
Second, you will partner with OpenAI’s industrial security team to forecast: secure-space needs, plan SCIF buildouts, coordinate personnel access nominations, and track contract-specific security requirements and restrictions.
Third, you will support OpenAI’s Government Innovation Network, OpenAI for: Government’s advisory board, throughout the entire lifecycle of the program, including advisor outreach and selection, independent-contractor agreements (1099s), conflict reviews, payment, and high-touch onboarding.
In partnership with OpenAI for Government’s leadership team, you will help: design and run regular advisor meetings, quarterly strategy sessions, and targeted convenings, with clear agendas, materials, and decisions. You will execute follow-through, and ensure advisor insights are integrated into OpenAI for Government’s strategy.
What they're looking for
- Finally, you will own and drive special projects that do not yet have a clear: home. You will define the problem, develop options, build consensus, and lead early execution.
- Have experience in strategy consulting, business operations, a growing: technology company, or comparable work combining analytical problem-solving with ownership of execution.
- Can build financial models, size markets, assess competitive positions, and: translate incomplete data into recommendations with clear assumptions and tradeoffs. Are comfortable interpreting government budgets and using market intelligence sources such as Janes to inform long-term investment decisions.
- Create compelling executive presentations and write concise memos that: connect the numbers, strategic choices, and recommended actions.
