What you'll do
Lead the Catholic music program and provide instrumental accompaniment for Mass and other liturgies.
Lead congregational songs, hymns, instrumentals, and Mass parts and direct the choir during worship.
Recruit, mentor, schedule, and coordinate choir members and musicians and: encourage participation in the music ministry.
Plan and direct weekly rehearsals and additional rehearsals for Holy Days of: Obligation and other liturgies as needed.
Coordinate music selections with the Catholic Chaplain or officiating priest: and use approved resources consistent with Catholic liturgical directives.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before services to review the liturgy, conduct: choir warm-up, complete sound checks, and address musical needs.
What they're looking for
- Prepare music and performers for Christmas, Easter, memorial, and other special or seasonal liturgies.
- Participate in the Catholic Worship Service and Parish Advisory Council as required.
- Safeguard, maintain, stow, and account for Government-owned music and sound: equipment and promptly report damage or loss.
- Coordinate facility, equipment, and support requests within established lead: times and maintain the security, cleanliness, and religious neutrality of used facilities.
