Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
What you'll do
People and Team Leadership: Act as a dedicated mentor and coach to grow engineering talent. Handle extensive people management, headcounts or hiring, talent development, and navigate complex team dynamics or conflict resolution with empathy and clarity.
Balancing Innovation and Scalability: Lead an experimental, forward thinking team while ensuring solutions are robust, elegant, simple, and scalable for millions of global merchant interactions.
Merchant facing Architectural Guidance: Set architectural standards across our merchant facing UI and configuration platform. Drive research into modern technologies, benchmarking tools, and engineering best practices.
Reconciliation and Merchant Experience: Partner closely with Product and Design to deliver high impact features (such as financial reconciliation interfaces) that minimize merchant friction and elevate trust.
Operational and Technical Excellence: Raise the bar for software creation, reliability, testing tactics, and production monitoring. Lead cross team discussions, pay off technical debt, and ensure accurate time estimates on complex, cross stream projects.
Stakeholder Alignment: Translate complex frontend and architectural capabilities into clear, actionable outcomes for both technical and non technical stakeholders across the company.
