What you'll do

  • Lead learning design for scaled Coursera-produced learning experiences: (short- and long-form) with emphasis on modular, skill-aligned design and robust assessment design.

  • Partner with subject matter experts (including technical SMEs) to translate: expertise into vendor-ready design deliverables, including learning outcomes, program architectures, outlines, storyboards, sequenced learning journeys, and assessment specifications, while ensuring technical accuracy and real-world applicability.

  • Build replicable design systems, templates, and acceptance criteria to: accelerate consistent production across vendors.

  • Collaborate on repackaging efforts: recombine modules and learning assets into new long-form offerings or program structures that align to skill outcomes.

  • Adhere to design standards; provide detailed, actionable feedback and Quality: Assurance checks to production vendors and Coursera partners.

  • Contribute to pedagogical innovation, AI-assisted design tooling, prompts,: templates,agentic workflows, and technology-enabled content development processes that improve quality, scalability, and operational efficiency.

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence,: Software Engineering, or a related technical domain.
  • –5 years of combined experience in technical domains (e.g., Computer Science,: Software Engineering, AI/ML, and related areas) and/or designing, teaching, developing, or supporting technical learning experiences, curricula, or educational products.
  • Experience as a technical instructor, curriculum developer, subject matter: expert, bootcamp educator, learning designer, or similar role supporting adult learners in higher education, professional education, or workforce development.
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical proficiency, including building, prototyping,: or implementing software applications, AI solutions, agentic workflows, or other technology-enabled products.
