What you'll do
Develop, maintain, and execute SQL queries to validate forecast data,: ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of forecast inputs and outputs.
Conduct routine and ad hoc data quality checks to identify discrepancies,: unusual movements, and forecast anomalies.
Investigate forecast-related issues by analysing datasets, comparing: historical trends, and identifying potential root causes.
Assess the impact of identified issues, track recurring problems, recommend: corrective actions, and escalate complex issues or material forecast risks when required.
Identify opportunities to standardise validation checks, streamline manual: processes, and improve the efficiency and consistency of forecasting operations.
Develop reusable SQL queries and document validation procedures to reduce manual effort and minimise rework.

- Support the testing and validation of new or updated forecasting processes: and automated checks, and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Support the preparation of analysis for forecast reviews and other operational reporting requirements.
- Analyse historical trends and forecast movements to help identify and explain potential issues.
- Prepare BAU forecasts when needed, using established methodologies and tools,: and following guidance provided by Forecast Analysts.
