What you'll do
Support senior leadership by ensuring high-quality work produced by the team: and by supporting one-off projects and initiatives.
Improve the overall quality and speed of accounting work-product delivery.
Build and leverage cross-functional relationships across the company to: deliver greater value to Finance and other internal teams.
Exercise sound judgement and ensure that accounting conclusions are: documented in reconciliations and technical memos in accordance with current policies and guidance.
Communicate and present complex topics to leadership in an accessible format: while retaining the ability to work at a detailed level as needed.
Identify, design, and implement technology-enabled process improvements,: leveraging internal tools to automate workflows, improve data quality and visibility, strengthen controls, and enable the Accounting team to focus on higher-value work.
What they're looking for
- Resourcefulness and the ability to solve problems, including non-traditional: or undefined problems, creatively and analytically
- The ability to calibrate a room of peers and stakeholders, achieve alignment,: and pull levers to bring greater value to Accounting and other internal teams. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential. Experience partnering with international functions and teams is a plus.
- Sound judgment and composure in high-pressure situations along with the: ability to ground decisions in data to ask and answer questions that move the business forward, and demonstrate discretion and integrity in all interactions.
- Significant experience with accounting and finance systems, implementations,: enhancements, and overall use of technology to scale the function.
