Senior Solutions Architect, APJC (Developer Platform) - India MarketActive

As a Senior Solutions Architect for the Developer Platform, you will shape and lead the regional technical strategy for our customer and partner engagements across APJC.

What you'll do

• Shape Strategy: Guide the technical strategy for Developer Platform customers and partners across the region.

• Design & Translate: Transform business, application, security, and operational requirements into secure, scalable, and highly maintainable architectures on Cloudflare.

• Collaborate & Advise: Partner with engineering executives and senior stakeholders to advise on application modernization, distributed systems, AI architecture, and platform strategy.

• Facilitate Discovery: Lead architecture discovery sessions, technical workshops, proofs of concept, design reviews, and production-readiness discussions in a supportive, consultative manner.

• Create Frameworks: Establish reference architectures, architectural standards, and governance patterns that empower our customers and the broader APJC field organization.

• Stay Hands-On: Build, review, and troubleshoot representative applications and integrations.

What they're looking for

• Meaningful Experience: A strong background in solutions architecture, software engineering, technical consulting, or a related customer-facing technical role. While candidates often bring 10+ years of experience, we care most about your demonstrated scope, impact, and ability to deliver results.
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English and a major language spoken in India, with the ability to comfortably lead technical and executive discussions in both languages, to support clients in that region. A significant portion of your portfolio will consist of clients based in India.
• Strategic Collaboration: A track record of owning complex technical strategies involving developers, infrastructure teams, security stakeholders, and senior executives.
• Technical Depth: Deep working knowledge of distributed application architecture (compute, storage, networking, security, reliability, and observability).
• Hands-On Capability: Software-development experience, including the ability to build or review production-quality applications and proofs of concept (preferably in JavaScript or TypeScript).
• Ecosystem Knowledge: A strong understanding of modern web technologies, serverless/cloud-native architectures, modern software-delivery practices, and at least one major public cloud platform.
• Influential Leadership: A proven ability to influence without direct authority, thoughtfully mentor colleagues, and turn individual solutions into shared organizational capabilities.
• Communication: Excellent written, presentation, and facilitation skills tailored for developer, architectural, and executive audiences.
